I really want to write one of those posts about how the new year is sparkling and everything is tip top.
But three things stand in my way:
it is freezing outside and our car battery is packing up
my tax return deadline is looming
I slacked off on the laundry over the holidays and it has come back with vengeance
The truth is that Christmas time focuses me, and I find lots of time and energy to do fun craft projects with the kids and to decorate our home. But January is rainy and it’s hard to get out the house, we have a serious sugar low, and by the 6th I am aware of all those resolutions I have already wavered on.
So I have made myself a checklist of fun things to do (mainly with the kids). Things that are easy and take minimal planning, but that bring a little more sparkle to our days in the rainy wilds of January.
I’ve made a printable in case you feel in need too. Sign up at the top of the page! The list is not meant as a master – just for ideas. I say this because my husband is concerned I will try to do everything on the list all at the same time. I’m sure you are more sensible.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend 🙂
